Profile

Ms. Agius was a program evaluator and researcher in the Substance Abuse Research Division in the School of Medicine for 14 years. She recently moved to the School of Social Work where she is now the Manager of Community Research Partnerships. She is evaluating New Detroit’s Compassion Capital Initiative; a capacity building effort for community-based organizations in Detroit. Ms. Agius has conducted evaluations for school-based and community-based prevention projects, a three-year after-school project as part of the 21St Century Community Learning Centers and substance abuse treatment programs. She has co-authored publications, delivered presentations, and written numerous technical reports.
Responsible for assisting faculty with grant writing, research and publications. As part of the Center for Practice and Policy Research, Elizabeth coordinates community partnerships and provides consulting and technical assistance to community agencies.
