Marnita Lloyd has been employed with Wayne State University since the fall of 1996. She has worked for various departments on campus, including the Dean of Student’s Office (formerly the Student Center & Program Activities Office), the Office of Student Records, and the School of Social Work Office of Admissions and Student Services. Ms. Lloyd has been with the School of Social Work since November of 2004, and in June 2006, she became Secretary for the Office of Field Education. In 2013, she became the Personnel Clerk Senior for the School of Social Work. She enjoys working for the School of Social Work because of the different affiliations it has with the university, neighboring communities, and social work agencies.
Ms. Lloyd prepares and processes personnel and/or payroll forms to establish assignments for the School of Social Work. She tracks personnel assignments for unit employees and ensures assignment information is current and accurate; monitor position budgets and account expiration dates; process paperwork necessary to maintain employee assignments. Ms. Lloyd provides information on department policies, procedures and deadlines pertaining to human resources; advise others on the accurate completion of personnel paperwork; assist in solving personnel assignment problems. She maintains information on SSW employees and provides functional supervision to student and part-time support staff.
