MSW Field Education

In the MSW program, field education in the Core Year requires that students be provided with an opportunity to utilize the knowledge gained in class about individuals, families, groups, communities and the agency/program as an organization. Field education in the four concentrations — community practice and social action; family, children, and youth services; health care services; or mental health services — is a major educational component in the preparation of graduate students for professional social work practice. Each concentration offers a different practice focus.
