POSITION: Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) Behavior Coach

LOCATION: Romulus Middle School

START DATE: Immediately - June 14, 2018

4 days per week, Tuesday - Friday

SUPERVISOR: Principal, Romulus Middle School


Certified Teacher, Therapist, Social Worker or Psychologist preferred.

Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Teaching or other related degree required.

Knowledge of PBIS.

Planning and teamwork with staff and administrators.

Demonstrated understanding of the disaggregation and analysis of student data.

Evidence of contribution to building / district-wide improvement efforts.


Coordinate with building administrators to identify students who qualify for interventions.

Model, mentor, and monitor the implementation of strategies, tiered interventions, behavior plans and data collection by classroom staff.

Support classroom teachers with behavior plans and progress monitoring.

Provide regular feedback to administrators and teachers.

Identify and support home interventions for targeted behavior.

Teach self-monitoring techniques to targeted students.

Maintain and record data as required by Title 1 and/or other educational agency.

Attend training recommended by supervisor.

Complete paperwork and reporting as required for Title 1 and / or other educational agency.

Perform other duties as may be related to the position.

The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds in supplies which requires bending, stooping and lifting.

The employee must be able to use a variety of instructional materials in the classroom.

The employee must use hands and arms to manipulate objects.

The employee must use keyboards, tools and other controls.

The employee must sit and stand for long periods of time.

The employee must have normal vision and hearing with or without aid.

The employee must be able to move about assigned location unaided during the day.

SALARY: $150 per day (Wages to be paid through EduStaff)
