Job Description
Family Assistance for Renaissance Men (FARM) is seeking a bachelors or masters prepared social worker to work part-time at our Detroit Headquarters Office. FARM is a workforce development program that provides job training in the skilled trades, education, mentoring, parenting skills training, co-parenting support, legal assistance and housing support to fathers.
This is a temporary, part-time position. The position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to support the continued development and empirical evaluation of a state of the art fathering program created by and for fathers in the Metro Detroit Area. A brief summary of the job responsibilities includes, but is not limited to:
- Assist in the development and implementation of a comprehensive program evaluation plan under the supervision of Mr. Willie Bell, FARM CEO, and Dr. Carolyn Dayton, Assistant Professor, Wayne State University.
- Receive intensive training in the FARM Principles of Fatherhood curriculum and deliver the curriculum under the supervision of Mr. Willie Bell, FARM CEO.
- Provide Bio-Psycho-Social-Spiritual evaluations of FARM Program participants.
- Provide case management for all participants.
- Refer program participants to appropriate ancillary services and track service uptake.
- Provide parent guidance and co-parenting guidance and support to participants.
- Attend court hearings, supervised child protective services meetings, and other health and mental health care visits as necessary.
- Complete and maintain participant records in a timely manner.
- Follow program graduates over time to track outcomes.
Seeking candidates with program evaluation experience. Knowledge about the skilled trades is preferred but not required.
