Pay Rate: Pursuant to the Ferndale Education Association Master Agreement
Start Date: August 22, 2019

Qualifications:
Master’s Degree from a graduate school of social work
Full approval by the Michigan Department of Education
Licensed Masters of Social Work
Strong knowledge of community and medical-related supports
Experience in the school setting with a restorative practice environment
Strong understanding of the power of relationships, acceptance, connections, and understanding
Duties and Responsibilities:
Utilize a variety of research-based intervention strategies, including group and individual therapy sessions, continually assessing student response to intervention and make modifications as needed to ensure all children are successful
Partner with staff to provide a safe, inclusive environment that utilizes best practices to support social emotional learning and development
Track interventions and supports of individual and small group sessions
Support Student Achievement Team process
Building 504 coordinator
Serve as a member of the building crisis team
Establish communication systems between teacher, parents and support staff
Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal
