Pay Rate: Pursuant to the Ferndale Education Association Master Agreement

Start Date: August 22, 2019

 Master’s Degree from a graduate school of social work

 Full approval by the Michigan Department of Education

 Licensed Masters of Social Work

 Strong knowledge of community and medical-related supports

 Experience in the school setting with a restorative practice environment

 Strong understanding of the power of relationships, acceptance, connections, and understanding

Duties and Responsibilities:

 Utilize a variety of research-based intervention strategies, including group and individual therapy sessions, continually assessing student response to intervention and make modifications as needed to ensure all children are successful

 Partner with staff to provide a safe, inclusive environment that utilizes best practices to support social emotional learning and development

 Track interventions and supports of individual and small group sessions

 Support Student Achievement Team process

 Building 504 coordinator

 Serve as a member of the building crisis team

 Establish communication systems between teacher, parents and support staff

 Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal
