The Grants Strategist plays a vital role in discovering and growing relationships, as well as in developing business and revenue for Accounting Aid. A proactive and strategic player on the engagement team, the grants strategist is responsible for researching, writing and submitting corporate, foundation and government grant reports and proposals as well as advising on strategy and long term planning. Under the leadership of the Director, Community Engagement, the strategist works closely with members of the executive, finance, program and engagement teams to research, relationship manage and solicit grant funders and supporters, as well as to project manage the grants infrastructure across the organization.

Grants Management & Strategy:
Develops and maintains annual grants plan, calendar and infrastructure
Responsible for tracking and communicating grant metrics, reporting and submission timelines and requirements across a variety of programs and departments
Acts as agency representative at funder workshops and events as needed
Researches and proposes new grant funders and strategies
Acts as grant funder relationship & stewardship manager
Helps evaluate and align program goals
Manages simultaneous projects and shifting priorities
Grant Reporting & Database Management:
Prepares and submits all grant reports
Works across departments to communicate grant deadlines and requirements and to collect and compile required supporting data and documents
Maintains Quick Base grants management data systems
Grant & Sponsorship Submissions:
With input from executive, program and finance teams, drafts and submits all grant proposals
Tracks funder requirements, maintains electronic and hard copy files
Provides post award follow up, acknowledgement and stewardship
Drafts and submits all online sponsorship requests
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree, or demonstrated experience
2-3+ years’ experience in grants research/writing
Demonstrated success in project management and the ability to set and achieve strategic goals
Knowledge of the corporate, foundation and government grant funder landscape in our markets
Superior written communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills with close attention to detail
