We’re seeking a full-time Project Manager for a one-year position starting January 2020, with potential for the position to be renewed depending on funding and performance. Are you a Detroit resident with experience in coordinating multiple/complicated details? Are you a communicator, adept at reaching out on different levels with different people? Here’s the Job:
Report to: Initiative Manager, Maggie DeSantis
Worksite: Main Office at Hannan House in midtown Detroit; work from home when appropriate
Salary/Bens: Full Time Payroll Position, up to $40,000 plus benefits
Duties/Time Allocation:
Meeting Coordination (15%): for committee meetings, task forces; notices, confirmations, refreshments and set-up, attendance at all meetings, notes/documentation
Event Coordination (15%): Coordinate details of quarterly forums and annual Summit (50 — 200 attendees);
Data Base Management (5%): over 200 stakeholder organizations and growing; upkeep and maintenance
External Communications (15%): calls/texts/emails with stakeholders as directed; monitoring/updating website (WordPress); weekly updates/responses on Facebook and other social media; creation of PPT decks, flyers
Community Development Research (15%): identifying and scheduling Grass Roots and Community Development Organizations for deep-dive research through prescribed interviews (and transcribing/editing interviews)
Meeting Documentation (15%): transcribing recorded meetings, converting to archival documentation
Office Management (10%): monthly office supply/ordering, external printing of advertising materials, printing of meeting documents, maintaining and organizing electronic files
Thought Partnership (10%): thinking together with the Initiative Manager on development of strategy and process to help BECDD reach its goals
