2. MINIMIUM EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE REQUIREMENTS

 

The Data Associate shall have:

  • Minimum of high school diploma or general education development (GED)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with data entry, retrieval, and monitoring.

-Or-

  • (Preferred) An associate degree, preferably in a research-oriented social science, science, or business.
  • Minimum of 2 year of experience in data entry, management and/or analysis.
  • Experience with research and evaluation in behavioral health or as a research assistant is preferred.
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Good oral and written presentation skills.

Demonstrated proficiency in:

  • Data entry, collection, and monitoring
  • Excel, Microsoft Access, Office, etc.
  • Experience with SPSS or another common statistical software package is preferred.

 

3. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Planning and execution of various research tasks in a collaborative manner.
  • Enter data into spreadsheets, databases, and grant reporting websites (i.e., SAMHSA SPARS).
  • Track electronic health record alerts and monitor information as it is entered or flagged by database.
  • Extract data from existing case files and other documents.
  • Manage and use digital imaging equipment.
  • Data Control: Data entry and communication of findings to staff in a timely manner for the purpose of treatment and program enhancement.

  • Candidates should have an interest in and a familiarity with community organizations and a number of social service delivery systems.  Knowledge is preferred of behavioral or primary healthcare.

Organizational:

  • Provide information that meets the needs of the agency programs being studied and the staff that work within them. 
  • Actively participate in the promotion of an internal agency cultural shift towards program evaluation, continuous learning, and continuous program improvement that is currently ongoing at the Agency.
  • Other duties as assigned by Evaluator, or other members of the CCBHC leadership team.

Technical:

  • Enters data into the SPARS database which will be used for the performance and accountability of the grant.
  • Monitor’s data submitted for entry into the SPARS database and the organization’s proprietary data.
  • Perform data quality and data cleaning prior to data entry.
  • Request’s reconciliation of missing or incorrect data from person responsible for data collection and submission.
  • Enters reconciled data on the SPARS and/or organization’s database.
  • Keeps records of required data collection and submission for program participants.
  • Performs data downloads when requested.
  • Enters consumer satisfaction and fidelity data on a proprietary database.
  • Monitors data for quality and completeness.
  • Keeps records of required data collection and submission for program participants.

Physical Requirements:

    • Must have adequate visual acuity to interact with the Electronic Health Record System and accurately input data

CONTINUING EDUCATION TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

  • Providing results of annual TB test and health status confirmation statement.
  • Complete all HHI annual, biennial, and other required training and/or continuing education.
  • Adhere to all HHI policies and procedures (e.g., Clinical, Personnel, Infection Control, Safety/Environmental, etc.)
