General Description:

Reporting to the Community Engagement Manager, the Community Engagement Coordinator’s primary function is to ensure center guests are greeted and provided with necessary resources. This community facing role will perform operational and developmental activities. This position must have an enthusiastic, friendly, and helpful attitude to everyone they engage. This role has an intended schedule of 10a-6pm Tuesday to Saturday with some variation expected. This position is expected to be a knowledgeable advocate for all members of the LGBTQ+ community. This is a full time hourly position with a generous benefits package, including health, dental and vision, 401k, life insurance, and paid time off.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Primary help desk representative including greeting center guests and developing resources
  • Coordinate all volunteer schedules, orientation, and communication
  • Support the center’s fundraising events and in-center third party events
  • Master the Center’s web-based fundraising/development software for the following types of activities:
  1. creating/maintaining of donor records;
  2. generating donor letters; and
  3. creating customized reports
  • Assisting with fundraising campaigns, donor cultivation activities, fundraising special events and other duties
  • Source Arts & Culture events/gallery openings, often collaborating with Grants Manager and the development team
  • Liason for tabling events
  • Operational support, including being the primary individual running/setting up center events
  • Support other program areas and special events as needed
  • Ensure building is in clean order, and keep active inventory of cleaning supplies
  • Other responsibilities and duties as assigned


  • A proactive self-starter who works well independently and in a team environment
  • Superior written, verbal, and electronic communication skills
  • High level of accuracy when performing data entry tasks
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, and familiarity with Google Suite applications
  • Available to work evenings and some weekends
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Competence in working non-judgmentally with diverse populations; strong commitment to diversity and inclusion
  • Ability to work effectively with volunteers, staff, and external contacts to build and maintain effective teams and community relationships
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Possess high level of integrity, diplomacy and initiative
  • Exhibit commitment to professional conduct and ethics
  • Ability to lift, carry and transport materials

Reports to the Community Engagement Manager

Classification Status:

Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt
