About Us

As a new division of Life Skills Residential, Ethos Behavioral Health is a residential facility specializing in the emotional, behavioral, and functional living support of adult individuals who have sustained traumatic brain injuries. We facilitate client engagement both individually and socially in conjunction with Life Skills Village treatment centers who provide: occupational and physical therapy, clinical psychology, cognitive rehabilitation, speech-language pathology, and vocational rehabilitation.


Job Description

The Social Worker will spend the majority of its time working within the assigned residential location(s) in conjunction with in home OT.

The Social Worker will be responsible for the psychosocial aspects of the intake assessment; creating and updating clients’ behavior plans; training, consulting and providing resources to the team in implementing these plans; providing individual therapy and accute behavioral interventions with clients; conducting risk assessments, and following up on clients’ medical and rehabilitation appointments.


The primary responsibilities for this position are:

  • Work cooperatively with internal OT to provide intake assessments
  • Create and maintain clients’ Behavior Support plans, ensuring achievable goals and progression
  • Conducting routine individual therapy
  • Conducting group therapy
  • Providing brief clinical interventions as required
  • Communicates and coordinates with external/internal care providers
  • Ensure follow up of medical recommendations *Addresses trends identified in various documentation in relation to other duties
  • Keeps site manager updated to current participant appointments and goals

Qualifications:

  • Current Michigan LMSW-clinical license in good standing,
  • Ability to maintain licensing in good standing
  • Experience with TBI population required
  • Must have Experience developing behavior plans

Skills:

  • Proficient use of Electronic Health Records systems
  • Must be detail oriented and able to multitask
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be familiar with HIPAA guidelines
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instruction
  • Demonstrates accuracy and efficiency
  • Demonstrates high level of independent judgment, decision making, and problem-solving ability
  • Demonstrates high level of initiative and critical thinking skills
