Research Assistants Needed for Violence PreventionYouth Empowerment Solutions for Healthy Relationships (YES-HR)

What is YES-HR?
YES-HR is a prevention program to reduce sexual and teen dating violence among middle and high school youth through youth empowerment, positive youth development, and community-level change

What is the study?
The study is beginning the last year of its four years and data collection will occur during school days from September through December, and March through June. Scheduling is flexible (you determine your weekly availability).

Tasks include:

  • Administering surveys
  • Conducting focus groups
  • Assisting with program implementation
  • Miscellaneous items (mailings, tracking youth participants, etc.)
  • Applicants must…

  • Be a currently enrolled student
  • Provide their own transportation to 7 middle and high schools in Wayne County, as well as the WSU campus
  • Pass a background check conducted by the middle and high schools
  • Complete data collection protocol and human subjects research training before work can begin
  • Hourly pay rate: $12
