Brian Bunte

Biography

Brian Bunte obtained his BSW & MSW from Wayne State University.  He has worked in the Social Work field since 1994 in a variety of roles from direct care staff, program coordinator, therapist, and Supports Coordinator.  He is currently working as a Hybrid Care Coordinator for St. John Providence’s Partners in Care program.  Brian provides care coordination and advance care planning services for at-risk patients in an outpatient primary care patient centered medical home environment. 

Bunte worked for Macomb County Community Mental Health as a Supports Coordinator for 14 years prior to taking his position at St. John Providence.  He has extensive experience with mental health and developmental disability related services.  He has a strong background working with patients diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders.  Bunte has a passion for education, patient advocacy, and patient-centered planning.  His clinical approach is eclectic, utilizing methods from psychodynamic, motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral, and family systems.
