Biography

Althea Grant has worked as a medical social worker, adolescent psychiatric social worker, private consultant, expert court witness in sexual assault cases, and guest lecturer of sexual assault and domestic violence prevention programs.  For 28 years, she served as director of the Detroit Police Department Rape Counseling Center (current name DPD/Victim’s Assistance Center).  Since 1985, she has held several part-time faculty positions at the school, including faculty advisor, undergraduate and graduate level online seminar courses, and placement assistant.
