Christina Dadswell

Biography

 

Dadswell, LMSW, C-ASWCM, CBIS received both her BA and MSW Degrees from The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She has clinical experience from a variety of roles, including beginning as a psychotherapist at Henry Ford Health System, and moving on to become the Clinical Director of a Head Rehabilitation program. Currently, Dadswell provides clinical psychotherapy services to adults, children, couples, and families with a specialization in working with clients with Brain Injuries and other disabilities.

In addition to teaching at Wayne State, she is an active member and lecturer for the Brain Injury Association of America, as she is passionate about advocating for individuals with disabilities such as paraplegia/quadriplegia, and cognitive disorders from traumatic injuries. She brings an informed yet sensitive understanding, combining professional skills with a lifetime experience of having a loved one with paraplegia. Dadswell is a highly qualified clinician with multiple certifications including being a Certified Advanced Social Work Case Manager (C-ASWCM) and a Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS), as well as receiving a certificate in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
