Stephanie Christy began her work in the addiction and recovery fields over a decade ago. She strongly believes in the impact addiction has on the entire family and in the recovery of family system as a whole, and her passion for recovery continues to lead her to work with both those suffering from addiction and their families in multiple arenas. Christy's personal story of recovery reflects the various routes addiction can take in affecting the individual. She believes that while we cannot change others, if we change our own behaviors, then change for others in our systems is imminent.

She has served as a program manager at the world-renowned Hanley Center in West Palm Beach, Fla., performed clinical research at the University of Michigan's Addiction Research Center (UMARC), and served as part-time faculty in addiction studies at Madonna University. She has also performed presentencing assessments and recommendations for those exhibiting symptoms of various addictions in the criminal justice system.
