Tori Negash


 Tori is a PhD Candidate in the College of Social Work at The Ohio State University. Her dissertation is tentatively titled: "Emerging adult college students: A longitudinal secondary analysis of behavioral health, academic outcomes, and predictors of behavioral health service receipt." She has presented her work at The Society for Social Work & Research (SSWR) Conference, as well as other national and regional conferences, has published several articles, a book chapter, and numerous policy briefs, and has more work currently in progress.

Tori is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) with previous practice experience working with adults with disabilities, as the social worker in a nursing home, and in various higher education settings, including work with students through the Disability Support Services Office. She has five years of research experience, including work on four IRB-approved studies and several grant-funded research projects through The Ohio State University. In addition to teaching part-time at Wayne State, Tori is a Graduate Student Lecturer at The Ohio State University in the College of Social Work where she teaches online courses in the BSW program (Ethics & Professional Practice and Research Methods).
She has been inducted into the Alpha Delta Mu National Social Work Honor Society and Delta Epsilon Iota Academic Honor Society, has received a Student Poster Award at the Multiple Perspectives on Access, Inclusion, and Disability Conference, is a two-time recipient of the Edward J. Ray Travel Award for Scholarship & Service from The Ohio State University, and served as an Albert Schweitzer Fellow (Indiana).
