Data Assistant, Center for Behavioral Health and Justice
Emily joined the Center for Behavioral Health and Justice team in August of 2019. Prior to this, she worked with Dr. Brad Ray as a Research Coordinator for the Center for Health and Justice Research at Indiana University’s Public Policy Institute in Indianapolis. While working for the IU Public Policy Institute, Emily worked on multiple studies related to opioid use disorder, mental health illness, and social justice. Her areas of focus include harm reduction, dissemination and implementation science, and community-engaged research. Emily resides in Indianapolis and is currently serving as interim project manager for a randomized control trial of mental health co-response teams.
Emily assists in the entry, coding, cleaning, conditioning, and analysis of multiple data sets from jails, courts, and state-level agencies. In addition to these data responsibilities, she also assists in the writing of manuscripts and reports.
