Licenses, Certifications, and Other Special Requirements: Employees in this class must have and maintain registration as a Licensed Social Worker with the State of Michigan. Employees in this class may be required to provide and operate a motor vehicle on a reimbursed mileage basis; valid State of Michigan Operator License is required. Candidates considered for placement in this classification may be subject to a Criminal Background Investigation based on the requirements of the position. Physical Demands The employee generally engages in light physical activity to work in the field with person to person contact and some stationary work in an office environment. The employee is expected to move about to accomplish tasks. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 20 pounds. Work Environment Work is performed primarily in indoor and outdoor environments (e.g. home visits, office, care center, clinic. etc.). Some work requires travel to meetings, conferences, and other work sites with exposure to seasonal weather conditions.
