Posting: Political Campaign Staffer
March 25, 2022
Michael Brodsky, 32, is a 2022 Democratic candidate running for the Michigan House of Representatives in a newly redrawn, competitive district located in and around Traverse City. The 103rd State House district comprises all of Traverse City, the townships surrounding it, Leelanau County in its entirety, and the two northernmost townships in Benzie County. This race is one of Michigan House Democrats’ most competitive races and top pick-up opportunities in 2022. Michael serves on the Board of Directors of Traverse City's Downtown Development Authority, is on the Planning Committee of his local congregation, and is about to begin teaching a course on American foreign policy at Northwestern Michigan College. Prior to running for office, Michael was on the leadership team at Countable, which is dedicated to digital community engagement and lowering barriers to political entry. In this role, he helped grow one of the country’s most successful civic technology companies from the ground up. He previously worked as a community organizer, researched Mediterranean foreign policy with the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies in Tel Aviv, and interned with then-Congressman Gary Peters. Our campaign presents a rare opportunity to gain high-level political experience in a top-tier battleground state, build a dynamic, nimble, and ambitious campaign, and work in close partnership with both the candidate and campaign advisors. We believe this is the best place to be if you care about young Michiganders taking on positions of leadership, are passionate about making a difference, and are comfortable challenging preconceived notions of success.
