The Specialist, Basic Needs (grant-limited) is responsible for assisting with the planning, implementation, relationship management, monitoring, and reporting for a variety of key initiatives of the organization. The position will support United Way's community impact team's efforts in two main program areas focusing on our efforts to:

  • Partner with Oakland County to steward a large grant program of ARPA funding investments to ensure robust availability of mental and behavioral health programming in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Administer the Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP) for the Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, and City of Detroit jurisdictions.
  • This position will be guaranteed through 12/31/2023.
