Clinical Psychotherapist

The Mel Bornstein Clinic for Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy is looking for Licensed Therapists for our Farmington Hills and Ann Arbor offices, as well as teletherapy.

Required Qualifications:

  • Licensed or Limited License to practice in the State of MI (must be in good standing with LARA)
  • Previous experience providing psychotherapeutic services
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to establish and build therapeutic alliances
  • Some knowledge of psychodynamic/psychoanalytic therapies and interest in practicing from these modalities
  • Technological experience necessary for navigating the electronic health record, secure email system and telehealth platform.
  • The ability to work both independently and as a part of a team

Ideal Qualifications (not all must apply but preference will be given to candidates who meet one or more of the below specialties):

  • Experience and interest in treating children and adolescents
  • We are receiving many referrals and will work to grow your caseload to the level you desire, with the patient population you desire.
  • We provide weekly one-on-one supervision with a graduate analyst of the Michigan Psychoanalytic institute at NO COST to the therapist.
  • A minimum commitment of 10 hours a week is required, but more hours are encouraged and available.
  • This position is ideal for those clinicians who are interested in practicing psychodynamic or psychoanalytic therapy and who are looking to join a collaborative team of therapists at a clinic that provides ongoing training and strong clinical support.
