ABOUT THE FINANCIAL COUNSELORS ROLE  

As part of a new Washtenaw County Government program, the Financial Empowerment Center (FEC), the Financial Counselors will provide individualized counseling, partnering with interested families in a financial action plan, which could include budgeting, credit practices, accessing mainstream banking products, credit issues, and basic needs issues. 

Positions are full time with benefits, with a starting salary of $48,851 and potentially more with additional experience.

Preferred candidates will be bilingual in English and Spanish, be familiar with local community resources and partners, and with +2 years of experience performing direct customer service counseling, financial planning, coaching or teaching.
