Posting: Child & Adolescent Therapist - BRAINS

BRAINS is growing and developing innovative ways to meet increased community needs. We are on an intentional search for an experienced child and/or adolescent therapist (social worker or psychologist) to join our unique program of multidisciplinary services through Behavioral Resources And Institute for Neuropsychological Services.


This position is full-time and includes mentoring/in-house professional development, health insurance, life insurance, short/long term disability insurance, a 401(k) plan, and more.

The right candidate will be:

  • Fully licensed (LMSW, LPC, or LLP) in the state of Michigan
  • Eager to learn within a multidisciplinary team
  • Experienced and interested in working with children under the age of 12
  • Experienced in outpatient counseling preferred, but not required
  • Experienced with developmental disabilities
  • Comfortable using a computer and EMR for note completion
  • Available to work afternoon/evening hours and possibly Saturdays to grow your practice ( specific hours can be tailored for both therapist and clinic needs)

Description of the organization:

BRAINS is an organization that has provided collaborative services for several years. We are accredited by the Committee for Accreditation of Rehabilitation (CARF). BRAINS works with individuals ranging from infancy through late adulthood; however, a majority of the clients served are looking for treatment for their children with challenges in behavior or mood regulation, have a neurodevelopmental disability, and families experiencing marital and/or family tension, or are seeking support. To meet these needs, the company is expanding services, enhancing interventions in the community.

Compensation:

BRAINS is one of the highest paying and benefit eligible health care service agencies in West Michigan. We have a highly competitive compensation plan with high pay and a 401(k) plan for all employees. For full time employees there are additional benefits including health insurance, dental/vision insurance beginning first day of employment and company paid short term/long term disability insurance and life/AD&D insurance. It is expected that this position will be available 40 hours/week (averaging 30 billable hours a week; scheduling 33 clients a week on average).
