Pre-Social Work Learning Community (LC) — School of Social Work
This LC offers pre-Social Work majors enrolled in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences intensive peer mentoring services through SW 1010: Introduction to Social Work and Social Welfare. This course is offered through the School of Social Work (SSW) to assist pre-SW majors in developing effective study skills, time management, and building a network of individuals associated with the SSW, including academic advisors, tutors, administrators, and social work students. This Learning Community (LC) will help pre-SW majors feel a sense of connectedness to the SSW. Students in this LC will also participate in bi-weekly group study sessions with peer mentors.
