The leadership team of the School of Social Work B.S.W. Where Online Works! (WOW!) program (below) was recognized by the WSU Assessment Director for exemplary assessment work during the 2016-17 cycle. WOW! was featured on a poster at the Oct. 19 Program Assessment Appreciation Luncheon hosted by President Wilson and Provost Whitfield. The poster highlighted the assessment process and its impact on students' performance and learning.

Suzanne Brown (below, first row, far right) and colleagues from social work programs across the country presented at the Council on Social Work Education's Teaching Institute on Oct. 19 in Dallas. Brown and other scholars discussed the social work profession's Grand Challenges, focusing specifically on social isolation across the developmental spectrum. Ideas were generated in discussion with presenters and participants for integrating information about the Grand Challenges into classroom presentations and curriculum.
