Introduction to Social Work
and Social Welfare

The course provides an introduction to social work including the knowledge, skills, values, and ethics which guide the profession.

A learning community component is included in the course which provides students with the opportunity to engage with organizations while exploring issues central to social work practice.

Guest speakers facilitate presentations in this course to discuss different areas of practice and share their experiences and insights into the profession.
