COVID-19 Healthcare Provider Support Hotline Volunteer Information

Hotline imageThe COVID-19 crisis is hitting Metro Detroit hard, as the rate of positive cases in the city is increasing rapidly. In the midst of this, Metro Detroit healthcare workers are valiantly working around the clock in highly stressful and sometimes under resourced settings to care for seriously ill patients. The goal of this project is to offer support and debriefing to these first responders and front-line healthcare providers to help them through these very demanding times. To provide this support the Wayne State University School of Social Work and College of Nursing, in collaboration with additional Wayne State departments, have organized a volunteer hotline service for healthcare workers. The hotline will be available Monday through Saturdays from 5 AM - 9 PM. We'll be offering support and resourcing to help providers continue to function through this crisis. Hotline services are free, completely confidential, and anonymous. Support can be accessed via the following telephone number: 1-888-910-1636

Clinicians who wish to volunteer and provide support to our healthcare providers must complete this VOLUNTEER FORM and return it via email to COVIDHOTLINE@wayne.edu and we will be in touch.

Thank you for your support.
