Suzanne Brown has been appointed to serve as a member of the Committee on Social Isolation as part of the American Academy of Social Work and Social Welfare’s Grand Challenges Initiative. The aim of the Grand Challenges Initiative is to foster social progress on critical social work issues through research, implementation, and collaboration. As part of the agenda to promote a stronger social fabric, the Committee on Social Isolation is currently focused on promoting policies that increase social connectedness across the lifespan and in diverse settings.

Congratulations to Sarah Doyle and family. They recently welcomed a beautiful baby girl named Addison Grace to their family.

Praveen Thomas was recently promoted to Senior Systems Administrator. Thomas began in the School of Social Work and with the University in 2008.
