April 4^th marked the first annual Wayne State University Giving Day, a time limited fundraising event intended to garner support and #InsprireOpportunity throughout the campus community. We set an ambitious goal in the School of Social Work to raise 100 gifts in 24 hours. Although we did not quite make this goal, we did raise funds to support scholarships, field work stipends, research support, and the support of our continuing education opportunities for social work alumni. Thank you to all of the friends of social work who participated with a donation and/or spread the word via social media to ensure we can continue to challenge minds, lead change and transform lives in the heart of Midtown Detroit.
