About 60 people attended the Aug. 8 KidSpeak on Wayne State’s campus, including representatives from the offices of Congressmen Sandy Levin and John Conyers and of Senator Gary Peters. The event, cohosted by the School of Social Work and the Transition to Independence Program, brings child welfare policymakers and influencers together to hear children from the foster youth system speak about potential improvements.
