Philanthropy
The School of Social Work philanthropy program just concluded a very successful fiscal year, having raised $777,440 towards the year’s goal of $400,000! This is great news for the school and translates into additional scholarships for our students, support for ongoing building renovations and other projects as directed by the dean. And while fiscal year 2016 has concluded, the Pivotal Moments Campaign effort continues. The School of Social Work’s three campaign fundraising priorities are: funding the Phase II renovation of the new building, support for faculty, and scholarships for students.
To date, the School of Social Work has raised $2.8 million towards its $5.5 million Pivotal Moments goal. With only two more years to fundraise to reach the $5.5 million goal, there is still much work to do. If you’re a faculty or staff member interested in making a gift to support the School of Social Work, there are many ways to do so. One simple and convenient, yet powerful, way to support the school is to designate the School of Social Work as a beneficiary, for whatever amount you choose, on your TIAA-CREF account. This type of “planned gift†can be designated to support the School of Social Work program of your choosing- and it doesn’t disrupt your current financial picture.
