Philanthropy September 2016

As the end of summer has neared, philanthropy activity has ramped up. Fall is a busy time of year across campus and that extends to fundraising activities here at the school. After spending the summer engaging in planning and strategy work and visiting donors in the metro Detroit area and in northern Michigan, it’s time to focus activity back on campus. This September and October bring opportunities to invite School of Social Work donors to campus for various events to deepen their relationship with the school. We’ll be extending personal invitations to donors for events throughout the fall, including a WSU Alumni Association reception with President Wilson at the Ford Piquette Plant, President Wilson’s tailgate at the homecoming football game, the School of Social Work Gala, the School of Social Work Scholarship Reception, tours of the new building, and more. It’s a busy time of year and one that brings many opportunities to engage our donors in the School of Social Work community and to share how their giving can and does impact the school. If you have questions about these activities or anything else fundraising-related at the School of Social Work, please get in touch.
