Frank Castronova has been invited to speak at the Health Care Compliance Association Annual Compliance Institute on March 28, 2017 at the Gaylord National in National Harbor, Md. The title of his presentation is, “Sampling and Statistical Methods for Compliance Professionals.â€
On Aug. 19, Assistant Professor Megan Hayes Piel and SSW Alumna Ericka Warren facilitated a leadership training with the Campus Presidents, Vice Chancellor of Continuing Education and Workforce Development, and other affiliated leaders of the Wayne County Community College District, regarding the newly implemented SMART (Scholars Motivated to Advocate & Realize their Talents) Program. The program is a collaborative effort between the WSU School of Social Work and WCCCD, to increase college access and graduation rates for foster alumni attending WCCCD, through a wraparound support program. Ms. Warren serves as the life skills campus coach and Dr. Piel provides technical assistance and evaluation for the SMART program.
