Angela Olivera
Biography
Angela Olivera has lived in Detroit for many years. Angela Olivera wears multiple hats in her goal to help Warrior students cross the finish line. Angela began her Warrior journey as a student earning a bachelor’s degree from the College of Education with a major in counseling and guidance in 1982. Angela worked for Wayne State from 1982 – 1985. Angela returned to Wayne in 2014 after more than thirty years in Child welfare. In this field, Angela has held Case Management, Supervisory and Executive Administration positions. Angela currently works as a placement assistant and faculty field liaison in the School of Social Work's Office of Field Education. Angela also works as a part-time faculty member helping Social Work Warriors transition their knowledge from the classroom to community through a hand-on field training experience.
