Biography
In fall 2023 Jeffrey Williams, LMSW, LCSW returned to Wayne State's campus as a Social Work part-time faculty member and inaugural WSU assistant athletic director of mental health and wellness.
In 2013 while playing on the WSU football team, Williams attained his BA in communications. He recieved his MSW in 2016 and went on to earn a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Certification in 2021. Williams then worked as a case manager and clinician at various area Metro Detroit organizations. Williams returned to the athletics realm in 2020 spearheading mental health and wellness initiatives at the University of Tennessee Athletics Department and Michigan State.
Since his time in East Lansing, Williams served as owner and lead therapist at Revived Mind Counseling.
