Kristen Carney

Biography

Carney is a part-time faculty member teaching Practice Methods. She has extensive clinical experience and background in education, child welfare and healthcare. She has also worked in private practice offering counseling services to adolescents and adults, in addition to treating mothers experiencing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. Carney has been working within higher education since 2012, providing academic advising support, initiatives and counseling services to college students. Currently she serves as a Personal Counselor at the University of Detroit Mercy Wellness Center.
