Research Interests
As a co-occurring disorder therapist for individuals and groups in outpatient and residential settings, Johnson’s focus of research is on the genesis of addiction. Of particular interest to him is the social impact of addiction; public and professional perception of persons with substance and/or process addictions, the linkage between physiological and psychosocial dependence, and integrated principles of recovery.
