Carly Steele

Biography

Carly Steele received her MSW from Wayne State University in 2020 with a focus in Community Development and Policy. She has a strong background in working with youth and local community mental health organizations. She designed and led a program evaluation for the Young Adult Self Sufficiency program at The Children's Center to ensure support and improved outcomes for young adults exiting the foster care system. Carly has experience conducting quality assurance measures and incorporating the voices of persons served into programming and services. She is passionate about the use of data and evaluation to enhance quality of life for underserved populations.

Responsibilities

Steele works to increase community engagement with The Center for Social Work Research and seeks to build research and evaluation partnerships with community-based organizations. She also supports faculty research projects through managing evaluation tasks. She conducts community assessments, surveys, focus groups, interviews, and other program evaluation efforts with community-based agencies, foundations, local and state governments.
