Biography

Anabela is the Grant/Contract Administrator at Wayne State University School of Social Work. In her position, which she has held since June 2019, Anabela is responsible for all areas of research administration, including both pre- and post-award grant management and for providing financial and administrative advice and support services to Principal Investigators and other research staff. Before coming to the School of Social Work, Anabela was a Research Assistant in the Department of Radiology since 2016. She also has a background in office administration, ERP consulting and accounting for private industry.

Responsibilities

As a Grant/Contract Administrator, Anabela oversees the financial and record-keeping side of the annual grant-making process for all grants received. She works closely with senior leaders, principal investigators and research staff to ensure accurate financial reporting and procedural compliance on all grants, including governmental grants.
