Tam Perry's research team won the 2017 Betty Cleckley Minority Research Award recently given by the Aging and Public Health section of the American Public Health Association. Co-authors include Jessica Robbins, Kimberly Seibel, M.A. student in anthropology Colleen Linn, and M.S.W. student Maxwell Smith. The paper, "Health Maintenance in Challenging Times: Older Adults' Experiences in the Flint Water Crisis," will be presented at the American Public Health Association's Annual Meetings in Atlanta. Their paper is part of the Resource Centers for Minority Aging Research (RCMAR) organized symposium on minority aging issues held on Nov. 8.
