Virtual Meeting Options

Telephone Conference Line:   

Most users should have received an email about Free Audio Conferencing with MS Teams.    More info on how to set this up can be found here.  

All other users please contact our IT Dept at sswit@wayne.edu to set this up.    

Video Options:

Teams:  For video meetings involving WSU participants.  It works best when the host has a laptop or a webcam attached to your computer.  If a particpant does not have a laptop/webcam, they can join the meeting thru the mobile Teams app,  avialable for both Android and IOS devices.    If you have access to your WSU email, you have access to Teams.    Please contact our IT Dept at sswit@wayne.edu for further info or training.  Click here for a Quick Start Guide or Click here for Microsoft Teams Training. 

Zoom:   For video meetings involving non WSU participants.  It works best when the host has a laptop/webcam attached to your computer.  Participants can join via their computer or by dialing a phone number.   To schedule a meeting as a host, please contact our IT Dept at sswit@wayne.edu,or Dorrian Mcghee for meetings involving the Dean.  Click here for instructions for joining a Zoom meetingClick here to download Zoom on your computer.

Zoom Free version:  For meeetings lasting less than 45 mins,  you can sign up and download Zoom Free version on your device.  Click here to sign up for the free version.  

Facetime/Whatsapp:   For smaller informal meetings, you can use Facetime(only for iOS) or use Whatsapp(iOS & Android).  Both apps are available for free in your mobile store.   Please contact our IT Dept at sswit@wayne.edu for further info.
