Power of the Vote Conference
Now more than ever, it is time to embrace 'the Power of the Vote'!
Voting is the safeguard of our democracy and our collective voice. Voting is essential because it is how we as citizens express our values, beliefs, and community priorities. Yet in recent elections, voting has become dis-empowered by false narratives and claims of 'fraud'.
As individuals in helping professions, it is our responsibility to restore faith in the electoral process! Come learn how to become the voting advocate your community needs at The Power of the Vote Conference.
This two-day, in-person conference will train public health, social work, and law students to effectively lead voting outreach and advocacy efforts. Attendees can expect in-depth, hands-on training provided by professionals in their respective fields. The conference will also feature several special guest speakers and a fun social hour. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
The Power of the Vote Conference is presented in partnership with the Wayne State University College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Department of Public Health, School of Social Work, and Law School.
