Empowerment
Establish relationships and inform low-income individuals on state benefits of VOAMI programs
Be knowledgeable of places where low-income individuals (particularly those utilizing TANF) can be reached in Wayne County
Develop educational opportunities with institutions in the community that are suitable to the needs and desires of the consumers
Clinical Techniques
Coordinate case management with all Health Profession Employment Specialists
Coordinate with program partners for case management to determine consumer eligibility and disposition
Employment Assistance
Develop and maintain community partnerships through regular interaction
Participate in the development of each consumer’s Individual Employment Plan, which will detail member's employment readiness goals and an action plan for achieving those goals
Conduct individual assessments and job readiness and identify employment-related deficits
Maintain consumer databases using PAGES and any other stakeholder required tools

Requirements
Bachelors Degree in social work, public health, public administration, human services, business administration or related field with three year’s full time work experience assisting individuals overcoming barriers (Master’s degree preferred)
Experience and continued desire to work with formally incarcerated, military veterans, single mothers and other special populations
Availability to work a non-traditional schedule that may include some evenings and weekends.
Must maintain a valid Michigan Drivers License, driving record that meets insurability requirements and have own transportation
