Psychiatric and Psychological Specialties is offering an advanced psychotherapy training fellowship in St. Joseph, Michigan. Fellows will work with children, adolescents, and families to promote positive emotional, social, behavioral, family, and educational development. Ideal candidates will have the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and education to provide exceptional mental health care.

The program is open to any mental health professionals desiring to augment their knowledge base and deepen their skill set as a generalist practitioner. This unique, experientially focused, intensive two-year program features intensive one-on-one supervision, small-group supervision, didactic seminars and mentoring of professional and clinical development. Our staff of experienced and extensively trained clinicians is committed to nurturing the development of our fellows by fostering self-reflection and providing multiple opportunities to deepen clinical knowledge and skills.

Fellowship details:

• Comprehensive and intensive training of clinicians to become generalists

• 1 hour of weekly supervision with primary supervisor

• 1 hour of weekly supervision with secondary supervisor

• 2 hours of weekly group case supervision

• 2 hours of weekly didactic seminar

• Opportunity to participate, create and conduct groups

• Opportunity to conduct long term therapy (over one-year, multiple visits per week)

• Opportunity for specialized training in eating disorders, trauma, family systems, health psychology, neuropsychology, and assessment, geriatrics, and psychoanalytic psychotherapy

• Minimum 2-year commitment required

Benefits:

• $30,000.00-40,000.00 annual stipend depending on degree and licensure status

• 10 paid time off days annually, 5 flex days

• Licensure supervision can be provided for most disciplines

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Any of the following degrees: Clinical or counseling psychology, clinical social work, clinical counseling or MFT

• This opportunity is ideal for new graduates who desire to continue their education with an enhanced training experience

• Post-doctoral training and license supervision will be provided to doctoral level clinicians

• We are a non-accredited internship site for doctoral level psychologists
