Posting: WSU Social Work YES-HR Student Research Assistants

Dr. Poco Kernsmith (Wayne State University, Social Work) and Dr. Joanne Smith-Darden (Michigan State University, Social Work) are currently hiring several research assistants to work with two CDC-funded projects to prevent and respond to violence and threats of violence in schools.

All positions involve primarily remote work from home.

Youth Empowerment Solutions for Healthy Relationships

Youth Empowerment Solutions for Healthy Relationships (YES-HR) is a violence prevention curriculum that has been implemented in middle schools. By creating opportunities for youth empowerment and action, with supportive intergenerational partnerships, YES-HR helps students to strengthen social connectedness, promote positive relationship behavior, enhance bystander intervention, and improve social norms. (Available immediately to September 2021)

Student Research Assistants (Hourly): (Contact Amber Fischer at amfisc@wayne.edu) Assist with research-related tasks such as preparing data entry and cleaning, analysis of survey data, and transcription of focus group and interview data. $14 to $15 per hour.
