Posting: Summer Employment Opportunity for Students - Great Experience for the Future

April 28, 2022

The Fowler Center for Outdoor Learning is a non-profit camp serving children and adults with disabilities located on 200 acres of countryside in Mayville, MI. At The Fowler Center we are looking to provide a supportive and encouraging away from home experience for our campers while also giving relief to the families who care for their loved ones 24/7. We have a variety of accessible activities including horseback riding, the tree house, high ropes course with zipline, sports, archery, kayaking, and more. Our staff not only engage campers in daily activities but help care for them as well (teeth brushing, showering, feeding, dressing, toileting, etc).

We are still hiring for our Summer 2022 season, and we think your Bachelor of Social Work students might be interested and could benefit from this paid experience. Our staff receive a paid comprehensive pre-summer training, CPR/First Aid certifications, meals & lodging, and a stipend of $500/week. The summer season runs June 11 – August 19, 2022 including orientation. Leadership positions available. $250 signing bonus upon completion of training.
