Social Work Alumni Mentor Program
Social Work Mentor Program Flyer
The Social Work Mentor Program gives graduates a vision for the future that includes successful attainment of a social work license.
The Social Work Mentor Program was born from a sense of responsibility to nurture the next generation of highly regarded social work professionals and prepare them for successful completion of the social work licensure exam. Through a mutually beneficial young alum to experienced alum mentorship relationship, recent graduates who have obtained their limited license and are preparing to take the licensure exam will have the opportunity to apply their classroom instruction and real-world experience to the licensure exam preparation process.
Program details
Alumni mentors who have passed the Social Work licensure exam are paired with recent graduates who have obtained their limited license and are preparing to take the licensure exam. These mentees are paired with mentors based on their career interests and the type of exam they plan to take. Throughout the program, mentees will participate in informative sessions led by social work experts on subjects including understanding the exam process, managing test anxiety and exam preparation. Mentors will share information about their own license exam experience and career paths while providing guidance, motivation, and emotional support to mentees. Mentors will assist mentees with setting licensure exam preparation goals and developing a network of professional contacts.
