About us
Our philosophy
The Center for Social Work Research provides access to a range of resources for faculty, students, and organizational, institutional and community members. On this website you can explore faculty research, student research, and resources to support learning and faculty scholarship. If you are a community or government agency with a need for planning and evaluation services or research support, the Center has a fee-for-service model to provide you with the expertise you need. Our Community Engagement and Evaluation section gives highlights of our work with agencies in Metro Detroit.
Our mission
The Center for Social Work Research seeks to propel research within urban communities by facilitating connections between Social Work faculty, students, research staff, and community organizations. We bridge your practice and research. We value partnerships whre we work with you, rather than working for you, and will strive to increase your capacity for future research activity.
